About Me

Beth: Silicon Valley, California, United States; I’m a former teacher who changed careers and moved into the private sector, ending up as a recruiter. Always the teacher, I look for and make use of every teachable moment that presents itself. I have 2 blogs. The Road from School to Work (http://brassringconsulting.blogspot.com/) is a mixed bag of possible careers and helpful advice for teens. Educating for the Future (http://educating4thefuture.blogspot.com/) is an assortment of observations, points-of-view, and recommendations on a scattering of educational issues. Though I may be opinionated and passionate about certain issues, I always welcome thoughtful discussions with others who have differing points of view. Some of those discussions have led me to change my thinking about certain assumptions. Learn. Adapt. Change. Or be left behind.
